Frequently asked questions about AI dev price tracking

Last verified : — every price is re-read from the vendor's official pricing page.

How often are prices verified?

Every week. An automated job re-reads the official pricing page of each of the 296 tracked tools, archives the result in a dated file and updates the site. The latest reading is from 2026-07-05.

Where do the displayed prices come from?

Only from vendors' public pricing pages. Every row in the comparator and in the change log carries a direct link to the official source used to verify it. No price is estimated, guessed or negotiated.

What does the 90-day variation mean?

It is the gap between today's price and the last price observed at least 90 days ago, on the same entry monthly plan. A dash means the tool's history is shorter than the 90-day window.

Why compare usage caps and not only price?

Because the sticker price does not say how many requests, completions or premium requests are included. Two tools at $20 per month can differ by a factor of ten on real quotas. The comparator's "Limits / quotas" column makes that difference visible.

How do price alerts work?

You pick the tools to watch and enter your email. A confirmation message is sent: the subscription is only stored after you click that link (double opt-in). You then receive an email only when an official price actually changes. Every email carries an immediate unsubscribe link.

Are price alerts paid?

No. Price watching, the dated history and the change log are free and require no credit card. The Price Alerts Pro plan at €4 per month adds instant alerts, unlimited tracked tools, the full history and data export.

Why did some comparisons disappear?

We only publish a comparison between tools of the same functional family: coding assistant versus coding assistant, app builder versus app builder, code review versus code review. Comparing a coding assistant to an LLM observability platform helps nobody decide; those pages were removed.

Do partner links influence the ranking?

No. Scores and comparator ordering rely on verifiable criteria: public price, usage caps, governance, integrations and privacy. Commercial placements are labeled explicitly and stay separate from editorial content.
